· Sunday School for ages 2 through adult, September to May, our classes for the 2011-12 School Year include: · Age 2 through Pre-K · Grades 1-3 · Grades 4-6 · Grades 7-8 · Grades 9-12 · Adult Lectionary Class - which explores the lectionary readings for that Sunday · Adult Book Class - How to be a 21st Century Christian · Adult Women’s Class - Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World · Wednesdays@Emmanuel which is held during the school year is a time of fellowship, food, & classes. We have three classes each Wednesday: · For the kids & youth we have a group which had different activities every week alternating between a movie & discussion, game time, and baking and cooking treats for mission and ministry. · For adults we generally have two options, our current slate is: ¨ The Gospel of Mark, led by Pastor Mark ¨ The Help, led by Andrea · Disciple Bible Study - We will be starting up a new Disciple Bible Study in early 2012, “Invitation to John” a ten week study on the Gospel of John. These classes last about an hour and a half and there will be outside reading to be done in preparation for class. This is a great class for you whether you are a newcomer to Bible Study or someone who’s been reading and studying the Bible all your life. To sign up call the church office at 731-3288. Come join us! · Lunch Bunch - this group meets every Monday from noon to 1:00 pm. They are currently doing a class called Civil Discourse which seeks to help us better engage each other in conversation especially when hot button issues come up in the conversation. A very thought provoking and peace making class with great discussion! Join us! · Vacation Bible School - was August 8-12 this year, and we were “Trading Places” as we learned about Jesus and about God’s people all around the world. · Walk to Emmaus - is in essence a “Short Course on Christianity.” Walk to Emmaus is a 72 hour spiritual experience conducted at a camp setting. There are also monthly gatherings of the Emmaus Community at various locations in the area. To learn more about Walk to Emmaus click here: Walk to Emmaus · United Methodist Women (UMW) - Is a mission focused group which also has a strong emphasis on education. We have a strong UMW group which includes three different UMW Circles which meet on a monthly basis. There are also quarterly UMW Unit Meetings as well as the School of Christian Mission a week long education opportunity offered every summer which is organized by the Wisconsin Annual Conference’s UMW leadership team. · Financial Peace University - this video based class is all about helping families and individuals achieve financial peace. A class later in 2012 is planned but not yet scheduled. The class has 13 sessions and each session lasts for about two hours. The cost for this class is $93 which includes a membership kit.
